Al-Muharrami checks on electricity plans to reduce hours of power outages during Ramadan

Abu Zaraa Al-Muharrami, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, discussed with the Minister of Electricity, Manea bin Yameen, and a number of the ministry’s leaders, ways to improve service by reducing losses and raising the collection rate.

Al-Muharrami discussed the Ministry’s efforts to overcome the crisis of continuous power outages, reduce the hours of power outages during the holy month of Ramadan, raise the generating capacity of electrical energy within the limits of capabilities, and enhance production efficiency.

He was briefed on the progress of the completion of the energy discharge project at the President Electrical Station, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, and the plans to operate the station at its full production capacity, and the mechanism for converting generation stations from diesel to diesel, to reduce environmental damage.

Al-Muharrami instructed the Ministry of Electricity to quickly agree with the purchased energy companies, which accepted the switch from diesel to diesel to facilitate procedures, expressing his full support for the Ministry and his readiness to overcome all difficulties and obstacles.
