Raising civil defense preparations in the governorates affected by the depression

Brigadier General Mohammed Nasser Al-Shabaan, head of the Civil Defense Authority, ordered the branches of the authority in the governorates affected by the depression to raise their readiness and be fully prepared to deal with the repercussions of bad weather conditions.
Al-Shabaan stressed the speed of responding to citizens’ reports in order to preserve their lives and property, especially with the presence of the depression that struck a number of eastern governorates, and is heading to the governorates neighboring the capital, Aden.
During his visit, Al-Shabaan inspected the course of the floods in the Al-Haswah area, in Buraiqa District in the capital, Aden, in light of the possibility of torrential floods coming from Wadi Toban, in which he reviewed the status of the flood lanes leading to the sea in Al-Haswah area, in anticipation of any emergency and according to meteorological warnings of heavy rains and torrential rains.
Al-Shabaan directed civil defense crews to take the necessary precautions to confront the climate changes that the capital, Aden, and its neighboring governorates may face, to open flood lanes, and to remove all obstacles.
