SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The Southern Transitional Council (STC) welcomes the vote of the majority of members of the United Nations General Assembly in favor of the resolution presented by the Arab Group to support the eligibility of the State of Palestine to full membership in the United Nations.
The STC believes that the adoption of this resolution by a majority of 143 votes confirms that the world stands with the freedom and rights of the Palestinian people to determine their fate and achieve security, stability and peace.
The STC appreciates the effective diplomatic efforts of the Arab Group, headed by the United Arab Emirates, in presenting the resolution and advancing it in the context of the Arab position in support of achieving the vision of a two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
