SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired a meeting today, Tuesday, with a number of members of the STC’s Presidium, heads of STC bodies, and STC ministers in the government.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing and studying urgent solutions to curb the rapid deterioration of economic and service conditions and possible coordination mechanisms between the STC bodies and ministries in this regard.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed during the meeting that the current situation is no longer acceptable, and the STC will not wait indefinitely for the government’s failure and inability to address the worsening living conditions, which have reached a level that has surpassed the endurance and patience of our people.

The President added, “The STC is a political entity stemming from and belonging to the people of the South, will never be far from their suffering, and has the capacity and courage to shoulder its national responsibilities toward our people.”

President Al-Zubaidi concluded his speech by saying, “The STC’s participation in the PLC and the government was out of a keenness to unify forces and efforts to confront the common enemy represented by the terrorist Houthi militia and to alleviate the suffering of our people and provide services. However, the deterioration of living conditions to this level of decline makes it imperative for the STC to reconsider all its decisions and future steps in a way that serves the interests of the people of the South and their national cause.”

At the end of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi instructed those present to remain in an open ended state of session to study urgent and possible solutions in these exceptional circumstances.
