The Governor of Socotra receives Committee for Structuring the Muqadamah and Notables

Mr. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Governor of Socotra, on Wednesday, received the committee charged with structuring the presence of tribes in the governorate to review the committee’s initial vision for carrying out its tasks in order to preserve the tribe’s entity and societal role.
Al-Thaqali appreciated the efforts of the committee that sought to raise an integrated vision for the new structure to restore the role of the leading Socotra tribe in society away from partisan agendas and narrow political motives.
He stressed that the local authority is keen to provide all forms of support to enable the Muqaddams, notables and notables to fulfill their tribal, social and cultural role in their society, resolve their issues, pursue their rights and spare them the political action that tears apart their fabric.
The attendees agreed to organize an expanded meeting for all the Muqaddams, notables, notables, heads of residential units and squares, informants and wise men of the General Council to review the vision of the assigned committee and discuss the appropriate mechanism for its implementation.
