A meeting in Aden discusses interventions of International Committee of Red Cross mission in the agricultural and fisheries sectors

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture for Irrigation and Land Reclamation Sector, Eng. Ahmed Al-Zamki, in the capital, Aden, discussed with the Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Mission in Aden, Christophe Leboa Mvogo, the committee’s interventions in the agriculture and fisheries sectors.
The meeting reviewed the committee’s projects in veterinary services through the rehabilitation of veterinary clinics and providing them with various veterinary medicines and equipment and the cold chain, in addition to training workers in the field of animal health and implementing vaccination and treatment campaigns for animals, beekeeping and honey production projects.
Al-Zamki appreciated the committee’s interventions, which contributed to the advancement of food security in Yemen.. stressing the need to direct the committee’s interventions in the coming period to sustainable projects based on the ministry’s national strategic plans, and to focus on the areas most in need.
For his part, the Deputy Head of the International Red Cross Mission in Aden confirmed the committee’s readiness to work on implementing humanitarian intervention projects to develop local communities, and to welcome proposals submitted for projects in the agriculture, livestock and fisheries sectors.
