Al-Awlaki receives the Director General of the Culture Office in the capital, Aden

The Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority and the official spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, received in his office Mr. Ahmed Saleh bin Ghodel, Director General of the Culture Office in the capital, Aden.

In the meeting, Al-Awlaki stressed that Aden is the city of culture and art, which has remained a beacon of cultural, artistic and lyrical enlightenment over the past decades and has embraced pioneers of culture and art until its influence extended to the island and the Arab world.

Al-Awlaki pointed out that this city still contains talents and creators in all creative fields despite the cases of exclusion and marginalization that have been practiced for three decades, indicating that these creative energies must be harnessed and utilized to restore the pioneering creative and civilizational role of the south and the capital, Aden.

Al-Awlaqi stressed that the Culture Office in the capital Aden has a vital role in benefiting from the creative youth energies and the accumulated experiences that the city has accumulated through sponsoring and implementing cultural and artistic activities, reviving theaters, activating cultural and artistic centers and forums, and reviving concerts and musical evenings.

Al-Awlaqi was briefed by Mr. Bin Ghodel on the work of the office, the cultural and artistic activities it implements, and the projects it intends to undertake, and he learned about the difficulties and obstacles that stand in the way of implementing the office’s plans and cultural and artistic projects.

In this regard, Al-Awlaki stressed the interest of the National Authority for Southern Media and its readiness to contribute to enhancing cultural and artistic activity in the capital Aden in order to restore its pioneering role in culture and art.
