Minister of Transport discusses implementation of Saudi program projects at Aden Airport

The Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Saleh Homaid, welcomed the Director of the Saudi Program, Eng. Ahmed Al-Madkhali, on Sunday morning, at Aden International Airport.
The meeting, which was attended by the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Captain Saleh bin Nohaid, discussed the progress of implementing the program projects at Aden Airport, to improve the movement of air navigation activity at the airport.
Homaid praised the program’s support through its various development projects and initiatives at the airport and the rehabilitation of airport lounges for passengers, landing and take-off runways, and air navigation and communications devices, appreciating the unlimited support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting touched on the technical arrangements and final safety works in preparation for starting the reconstruction of the main runway for landing and take-off, after its useful life has expired, and starting to install air navigation and communications devices.
For his part, Eng. Al-Madkhali revealed that he is waiting for the report from the Aviation and Airport Authority to start completing the work through the implementing company, appreciating the Minister of Transport’s keenness to resolve any difficulties or obstacles that hinder the progress of the program’s projects.
Homaid inspected the workflow and air traffic at Aden International Airport, the operating mechanism in the arrival and departure halls, the counters for completing travel and passport transactions, inspection devices and baggage conveyor belts, and the first-class lounge for guests of honor, to ensure the quality of services.
