President Al-Zubaidi Discusses with UAE Foreign Minister Bilateral Relations and Prospects for Joint Cooperation

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Wednesday evening with HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), at the headquarters of the UAE mission to the United Nations in New York City.

The meeting reviewed the deep-rooted fraternal relations with the United Arab Emirates, prospects for further developing them, and enhancing joint cooperation to serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples and countries.

In the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79), President Al-Zubaidi expressed his deep gratitude for the sincere fraternal stance of the UAE, immensely lauding its unwavering support for the PLC and the government across a broad spectrum of developmental and humanitarian fields, and highlighted that the UAE has consistently been providing support to our people under all circumstances and difficult turns both in the past and present.

For his part, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for our people and the country, and its backing for the PLC and its efforts to restore normalcy, maintain security, and stability across the country.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, member of the STC’s Presidium, Head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission (CRC) supporting the PLC, Mr. Amr Al-Beidh, member of the STC’s Presidium and Special Representative of the President of the STC for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the Political Commission assisting the Presidium of the STC, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, and Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority (FAEA) of the STC.
