Emirates Red Crescent distributes 10.5 tons of aid to 2,365 individuals in Shabwa

The Emirates Red Crescent distributed 10.5 tons of multi-variety food supplies to the poorest families and those with limited income in the Al-Salmeen area in the Markha Al-Ulya Directorate.

The initiative comes within the humanitarian and relief plan of the Emirates Red Crescent to alleviate the human suffering of citizens in Shabwa Governorate, in continuation of the charitable and humanitarian efforts of the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Salmi, a member of the local council in the Markha Al-Ulya Directorate, appreciated the sincere humanitarian stance of the sisterly UAE, through the Emirates Red Crescent, with the people of the governorate, praising the continuation of its relief program to help families with limited income, the most needy and the displaced.

The Director of the Emirates Red Crescent in Shabwa, Majid bin Saree, said that the humanitarian initiative comes in response to citizens’ appeals to alleviate their living suffering and bridge the food gap and its repercussions on citizens’ lives.

He revealed that the initiative targets about 2,365 individuals from the poorest families and those with limited income in the Al-Salmeen area.
