Thwarting a terrorist attack on a camp of the Third Support and Reinforcement Brigade in Mudiyah

The Southern Armed Forces, at dawn on Friday, confronted an aggression launched by elements of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda in Wadi Omran, east of Mudiyah, Abyan Governorate.
Field sources revealed that terrorist elements attacked a site of the Third Support and Reinforcement Brigade towards the Al-Furaidh area and the village of Sarrat Al-Mashaikh, where the brigade forces clashed with the terrorists, inflicting heavy losses on them and forcing them to flee.
Units of the Southern Forces were deployed in the area to secure and track the fleeing terrorist elements towards the Lahmar area and the Ma’wan Road, from which a road branches off leading to the border areas with the Yemeni governorates of Shabwa and Al-Bayda.
