The General Secretariat of the STC’s Presidency discusses performance report of Women and Children Department

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting in the capital, Aden, on Monday, headed by Major General Kamal Hamshari, member of the Presidency of the STC, Acting Secretary-General.

The meeting discussed the performance report of the Women and Children Department in the General Secretariat, reviewing the conditions of women in the southern governorates and the most prominent challenges they face, ways to enhance their empowerment in society, and ensure that they obtain their leadership position.

The meeting listened to a briefing from the Council’s Coordination at Hadhramout University, presented by Dr. Hassan Al-Amoudi, Head of the Executive Body of the Coordination, in which he discussed the most prominent academic and scientific political activities and programs implemented by the Council’s Coordination at Hadhramout University, which aimed to qualify and develop the capabilities of students in various university specializations, and enhance their academic skills.

The meeting reviewed the report on the level of job discipline of the Secretariat’s staff during the current month of February 2025, and Mr. Yasser Jaafar was honored as an exemplary cadre for the General Secretariat during the previous year 2024.

The Secretariat reviewed the tasks of its departments during the previous period and the minutes of its previous meeting and approved them, taking into account its observations.
