With support of Kuwait.. Mobile medical clinic project achieves an exceptional achievement in Lahj

The activities of the “Mobile Medical Clinic” project, implemented by the Nidaa Foundation for Development with funding from the International Islamic Charitable Organization in the State of Kuwait, concluded in Lahj Governorate on Thursday, coinciding with the celebrations of the Kuwaiti National Days.

The project achieved great success in the governorates of (Abyan, Lahj, and Hodeidah), after the number of beneficiaries exceeded the 10,000 barrier, exceeding the target number of 4,500 beneficiaries. The project focused on supporting the most vulnerable groups – women, children, and the elderly – in remote areas suffering from a scarcity of health services, in the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Hodeidah, with the aim of reducing patient and death rates by 50% by providing primary care and combating epidemics.

The campaign included specialized medical teams that provided integrated services, such as screening for malnutrition in children, caring for pregnant and lactating women, and distributing free medicines, with the support of general practitioners, reproductive health specialists, immunization teams, and pharmacists. It focused on areas classified as “second and third reins,” where dozens of critical cases were detected, and urgent interventions were recorded to save lives threatened by infectious diseases or lack of care. Reports indicated that the campaign contributed to reducing the spread of epidemics by providing essential medicines and enhancing health awareness among local communities.
