The Administrative Body of the National Assembly stands before performance of Ministry of Electricity and problems of power generation

The Administrative Body of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting on Wednesday, headed by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Maneh Bin Yamin, the Administrative Body extended congratulations to the political leadership of the Transitional Council, represented by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, and through him to the people of the south at home and abroad, on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, asking Allah Almighty to protect all of our beloved southern homeland from all calamities, and to perpetuate security and safety.
In its meeting, the Administrative Body stood before the deterioration of service, economic and living conditions in the south, most notably the problems of the weakness of the electrical energy system in the capital, Aden, and the rest of the southern governorates.
The Administrative Authority praised the efforts and measures taken by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, to secure emergency quantities of fuel for power plants in the capital, Aden, to ensure their continued operation and alleviate the suffering of citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, and to work in the future to find radical and strategic solutions to provide sufficient fuel for power plants.
Then, the Authority listened to a briefing presented by the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Maneh Bin Yamin, which included a detailed explanation of the electricity situation in the capital, Aden, and the rest of the liberated governorates, and the efforts through which the Ministry seeks to solve electricity problems and strategic plans to secure fuel in a sustainable manner.
Minister Maneh also reviewed a number of possible solutions to the accumulated problems facing the Ministry, the obstacles that hinder its work, the shortage of energy supplies, as well as the phenomenon of horrific random connection, the decision to cancel all energy purchase contracts and the consequences thereof, and his efforts to correct the existing imbalances in the Ministry.
The heads of the National Assembly committees presented a number of questions and inquiries to the Minister of Electricity and Energy, including a number of visions and proposals, in a manner that leads to the advancement of electricity services.
The Authority called on the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to assume their responsibilities, find urgent solutions, provide the necessary liquidity to purchase fuel shipments, and work to find radical and sustainable solutions for electricity in Aden and the rest of the southern governorates, ensuring its continuity.
The Administrative Authority discussed in its meeting a number of issues included in the agenda, and took the necessary measures regarding them.
