Aden Security Belt Forces dismantle Houthi cell before carrying out sabotage plot

Security Belt forces in the capital, Aden the capital, dismantled a terrorist cell affiliated with the Houthi militia. The cell was in the advanced stages of carrying out sabotage and criminal operations targeting security and stability in the city.

Security Belt operations in the capital, Aden, confirmed that initial investigations revealed a direct connection between the arrested individuals and the Houthi militia, having undergone intensive and advanced training in carrying out sabotage and bombings.

The operational source explained that the militia recruited the four individuals in a border governorate before sending them to the capital, Aden, to carry out a plot targeting the southern governorates, including sabotage operations and armed attacks.

The source added that accurate intelligence led to the uncovering of this cell, which was part of a broader Houthi plot to target Aden and the border fronts. The source also indicated that the militia had recently worked to attract and recruit a number of young men from the south to entice them to join its ranks.

The Security Belt Command confirmed that the preemptive security operation carried out by its units thwarted the Houthi plot and reiterated its commitment to continuing efforts to maintain security and stability in Aden and its surrounding areas.
