Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Discusses the Governorate’s Conditions with the Deputy Governor of Lahj

Mr. Essam Abdo Ali, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Tuesday, Mr. Awad bin Awad Al-Salahi, Deputy Governor of Lahj Governorate and Secretary-General of the Local Council.
The meeting, attended by Mr. Nasr Harhara, Rapporteur of the National Assembly, discussed the conditions in Lahj Governorate and the deteriorating services and living conditions its people are suffering due to the escalating crises and the government’s failure to address them. It also addressed the accumulated difficulties that have hampered the success of the local authority and its institutions in resolving them.
The meeting also addressed the deteriorating educational situation in the southern governorates, the significant difficulties facing the education sector, and the potential negative consequences that could affect the future of future generations. A number of ideas and proposals were put forward to address this situation and find appropriate solutions.
Essam Abdo praised the efforts of the local authorities in Lahj, calling on them to exert further efforts to develop and improve conditions in the governorate. He emphasized that Lahj receives the attention and follow-up of the political leadership of the Southern Transitional Council. He also emphasized that all proposals discussed will be submitted to the Assembly’s presidency for review and necessary action.
