The National Assembly’s Administrative Board Reviews Final Preparations for the “Hadhramaut First” Event

The Administrative Board of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Mr. Essam Abdo Ali, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Nasr Harhara, Rapporteur of the National Assembly, the Board reviewed the final preparations for the ninth anniversary of the liberation of the Hadhramaut coast from terrorist organizations. The event, scheduled to be held tomorrow in the city of Mukalla, will be held under the slogan “Hadhramaut First.” The event was held at the invitation of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council. The Board emphasized the importance of this national event, which embodies the achievements of the Hadhramaut Elite Forces in consolidating the pillars of security and stability in Hadhramaut Governorate. In the same context, the Board commended the efforts of the Southern Transitional Council’s political leadership to unify southern ranks and political visions.
The Administrative Board stressed the need to unify political discourse at this critical and delicate stage, and called for wisdom and prudence in addressing national issues.
The Administrative Board also addressed the deteriorating living conditions of citizens amid the country’s current situation, as a result of state institutions’ failure to fulfill their role in providing for citizens’ needs and meeting their legitimate demands.
During the meeting, the Board also addressed the growing phenomenon of displacement toward the southern governorates, particularly the capital, Aden, and the resulting grave security challenges that affect southern citizens, their security, and their stability.
In a related context, the Board discussed its meeting plan for the second quarter of 2025, in addition to the report of the Women and Children’s Committee and the report of the Rights and Freedoms Committee on freedom of the press and expression, including the obstacles and solutions contained therein, taking into account the comments submitted regarding them.
