The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, held a joint meeting in the capital, Aden, to discuss coordinating joint efforts to control and monitor the prices of agricultural, fishery, and livestock products, and the practical steps required following the significant improvement in the purchasing power of the local currency.
The meeting emphasized the importance of continuing field visits to targeted sites, in coordination with relevant authorities in the local authorities in the districts, and taking legal action against violators of the price lists for various agricultural, fishery, and livestock products.
The meeting also emphasized the need to highlight the role of the two ministries in implementing the legislation regulating the price control mechanism, in line with the government’s directives aimed at alleviating the suffering of citizens amid the difficult circumstances facing the country.
