Lamlas and Al-Shoubji check on families and areas affected by floods caused by the floods of rains

The Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, accompanied by the Director-General of Al-Buraiqah District, Dr. Salah Al-Shoubji, checked on a number of families and areas affected by floods caused by the low-pressure system that hit the city over the past few hours.
Lamlas and Al-Shoubji examined the extent of the damage caused by the floods to citizens’ homes and infrastructure and listened to the residents’ complaints and suffering. They emphasized that the local authority, in coordination with the relevant authorities, will work to provide urgent solutions and intensify relief and shelter efforts for those affected.
The governor emphasized that Al-Buraiqah District is a disaster area due to the extensive damage it has suffered, calling on local and international organizations to quickly intervene to support the local authority’s efforts to assist citizens and enhance emergency relief operations.
Lamlas stressed the need to increase the preparedness of emergency and civil defense teams and redouble field efforts to contain the damage and mitigate the effects of the disaster, noting that priority will be given to protecting lives and assisting affected families.
