The Director of Security of Aden the Capital discusses implementation of drug prevention project

The Director of Security of the Capital City of Aden, Major General Mutahhar Al-Shuaibi, met in his office at the Security Department in Khormaksar District with the Noon Women’s Bloc team to discuss ways of joint coordination for the implementation of the preventive project to combat drugs. This project is being launched as the first phase of efforts to develop security and preventive work mechanisms in this field.
During the meeting, Major General Al-Shuaibi discussed with the bloc’s representatives, in partnership with the PASS Foundation and with support from Youth Without Borders and Saferworld, the most prominent challenges facing the project’s implementation, particularly in the areas of training and qualification for members and officers of the Anti-Narcotics Department.
The discussion focused on the implementation of the first phase of the project and the proposed interventions, most notably providing the Anti-Narcotics Department with modern electronic devices, training security personnel on their use, activating the hotline to receive reports, and providing the department with initial testing materials to detect drugs. Cases of drug abuse.
The Director of Security in the capital, Aden, emphasized the importance of training and rehabilitation programs for anti-drug personnel, emphasizing that enhancing the level of competence and experience of security personnel will have a direct impact on strengthening efforts to curb the spread of drugs and maintain the security and stability of the capital.
Major General Al-Shuaibi praised the role played by the Noon Women’s Caucus and its effective partnership with the PASS Foundation, Youth Without Borders, and Saferworld in supporting the security services. He emphasized the Aden Security Department’s commitment to overcoming difficulties and facilitating the implementation of quality projects with a societal and preventative dimension.
