Director of Drug Enforcement in the Security Belt Forces: We Continue to Raise Awareness Among Youth About the Dangers of Drugs in Aden’s Districts

SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
Lieutenant Colonel Mayas Haidara Al-Jaadani, Director of the General Directorate for Drug Enforcement in the Security Belt Forces, confirmed that awareness campaigns are ongoing in various districts of the capital, Aden, with the aim of educating young people about the dangers of drugs and their devastating effects on individuals and society.

Lieutenant Colonel Al-Jaadani conducted a field visit to the Al-Qaloua area, where he met with a number of young people and citizens who expressed their happiness with the visit, appreciating the significant efforts exerted by the General Directorate for Drug Enforcement in spreading awareness and warning against this serious scourge.

In a speech delivered to the youth, Lieutenant Colonel Al-Ja’dani said, “I didn’t come here today as a director or official, but as an older brother who loves you and fears for you falling into the trap of drugs. That world has neither manhood nor happiness, as those with ill intentions portray it. It begins with experimentation and ends in destruction. It destroys your health, your future, your reputation, and you lose the dearest people who love you.”

Al-Ja’dani added, “More than 80% of those involved in drug cases said they started out of curiosity, then regretted it too late. Therefore, my sincere advice to you is: don’t be the next victim. Regret is useless once the damage is done.”

Al-Ja’dani concluded by emphasizing that the Anti-Narcotics Department will continue its awareness and field efforts relentlessly, within a comprehensive plan aimed at protecting the youth and preserving the future of the capital, Aden, free from this scourge.
