Legitimacy of Maasheek: The Ugly Series of Corruption and Humiliation of Southern Martyrs
“A Martyr is not Acknowledged in His Homeland”. The legitimacy of Maasheek is rephrasing this statement in a shameful ugly way. They decided to drive mothers and widows of martyrs to Al-Anad military base just to receive what is not worthy for even the dust of martyrs’ shoes. This is exactly the case when a whore talks about virtue. The corrupt legitimacy is expanding its mass punishment to any thing southern. Families of martyrs and injured are now the victims of racist decisions of president’s office, prime minister’s office and minister of defense’s office who suddenly decided to form a commission to humiliate and torture the families of southern martyrs and injured just for fun! They are sending them to Al-Anad military base to take photos and videos that will be used later and to see the look of misery and humiliation in the eyes of injured. They will feel proud to see the flaming sun of this hot summer burn the skins of martyrs’ orphans. They seek their revenge from martyrs for their sacrifices.
For years, families of martyrs introduce document to a commission after another just to be registered in preparation to receive their humble pensions. They were registered into a mechanism to receive their pensions from bank branches with vouchers delivered to them by offices of martyrs and injured in southern states. Injured also followed the same path. Someone may say “This is routine work of the president’s office”. My response to him is that why is that routine work limited to southern injured and martyrs only? Why do injured and martyrs’ families of Mareb receive their pensions from Al-Kuraimy bank in Mareb? Why does it the same case in Taiz? Why is this commission formed during this critical time a few days before “Al-Adha” feast? Will commission be pleased with the begging voices of mothers and widows who live in extreme poverty under this suffocating economic crisis? Or do they suspect our martyrs and are very careful of public money?
The least you may find in the pockets of the smallest minister in this corrupt government is more than enough to pay pensions of southern martyrs and injured for ten years!!!
The commission demands a mother of martyr to come from Yafea’s mountains of Tour Al-Baha villages, borrowing more than half of her humble pension just to travel and stay begore brokers of the commission pay her a pension that causes her heart to break over her son who honored her in his life just to be humiliated after his death by this scup of Maasheek. Are the salaries of tens of thousands of soldiers robbed by them monthly not enough for them? or do they desire to taste the pensions of our martyrs and injured?
Let me ask, where are our leaders in Lahj? Where is the governor, Al-Turkey, to stop this miss under these hard-living conditions and during these holy days?
What broke my heart most are the words of a martyr’s mother saying: “They like to torture us. May God torture them. I’ll have to break my fasting for two or three days during the ten holy days for this trip”!!
