The Intertanko Oil Tanker Association called on all ships to move away from Bab al-Mandeb, expecting the period of threat to shipping operations to continue for several days.

At the same time, the CEO of Stena Bulk Shipping Company announced that the company would stop transiting through the Red Sea early today, Friday.

The Danish fuel tanker company Torm stopped its trips in the Red Sea, in a move that coincided with a warning by the naval forces of the Guardian of Prosperity coalition, to all ships to stay away from Bab al-Mandab.
