New UN Delegate to Yemen Discusses Establishing a Permanent Office in Adan with Yemeni Government

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Agencies [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Official sources at the Yemeni government indicated that delegation of the office of UN Delegate to Yemen, Martin Griffith, discussed establishing an office in Adan for the UN delegate with Mr. Nezar Ba Sohaib, deputy of Yemeni minister of Planning and International Cooperation. SABA News, loyal to Hady’s legitimacy, indicated that the meeting between Ba Sohaib and UN delegation discussed mechanisms of coordination and cooperation in addition to opening an office for the UN delegate and to facilitate his mission to reach a peaceful solution for the current crisis in Yemen according to the three references and peaceful dialogue to guarantee establishing a modern civil state in Yemen. In an official statement, Ba Sohaib said: “Opening an office for the UN delegate will open the road to other UN organizations working in human aids to exist basically through its central offices in the temporary capital, Adan, along with the legitimacy government”. Ba Sohaib renewed his calls for UN organizations to open central offices in Adan and the rest of governorates included in the “Decentralization of Human Aids” plan in addition to use all naval and air terminals to receive human aids materials and deliver it to those who need it in all governorates.
A meeting for the UN Security Council to discuss the final statement of the former UN delegate to Yemen, Ismail Wald Al-Sheikh, is scheduled on February 27th, 2018, with the end of his period in Yemen, in addition to discussing the most recent report of experts’ squad of the UN Penalties Commission in Yemen. The Legitimacy Government and Coup Forces of Al-Houthi militias previously welcomed the appointment of Martin Griffith as a new UN delegate to Yemen, but they asserted their previous situations expressed in negotiations of Kuwait and Geneva.
