Russian ministry of defense announced that a military cargo aircraft – AN-26 – crashed while landing in Hamimim military airport in Syria and all those who were on board the plane, including the crew, were dead. The Russian statement indicated that the cause of accident was a technical error inside the plane that led it to hit the ground and crash 500 meters before the runway.
