Shortly Before Filing His Report to UN Security Council about his Mission in Yemen Next Thursday, Griffith Visits Kuwait

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Kuwait – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer] Martin Griffith, UN envoy to Yemen, met Sheikh Subah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Subah, prince of Kuwait, in Kuwait on Sunday July 29th, 2018. Griffith and Subah discussed developments and communications concerning Yemeni crisis.
Griffith appreciated the role of prince of Kuwait in establishing world peace, especially in Yemen and indicated that stopping war in Yemen and finding a political solution can not be achieved without help and experience of Kuwait.
Griffith hoped that peace in Yemen can be achieved during the next month asserting that Kuwait is a central axis for peace process in Yemen.
During the past few weeks, Griffith made shuttle tour among conflicting parties in Sanaa and Aden. Next Thursday, Griffith is submitting his report to UN Security Council about his mission in Yemen and developments in efforts for reaching a political solution to Yemeni crisis.
Media reports indicated that Griffith will announce the date of launching a new negotiations round among Yemeni conflicting parties next Thursday. But Griffith, who is committed to media silence, did not say anything about the date and place of holding these negotiations. Previously, Kuwait hosted several negotiation rounds among Yemenis that ended up without agreement.
