Chairman of ECOSOCC expressed his sympathy with the difficult humanitarian situation in Yemen in general and hoped that all conflicting parties reach a quick solution that satisfies all parties and help civilians avoid more poverty and destruction. The southern group provided details about the humanitarian conditions and causes of the current conflict in Yemen. The group asserted that any solution that is not based on solving the roots of the problem in Southern Arabia, known as part of Yemen, will never succeed as the southern cause is key for success of any political solution. The group also asserted that 28 years of union proved that the so-called one state is a failure in addition to be the cause of destroying Yemen and instability of the Arab Region and the African Horn. The group indicated that the only guarantee for security and stability of southern Arabia is the two-state solution as the whole world can guarantee security and stability of international navigation when two states, one in the north and the second in the south, are restored.
