Southern Security Council Holds a Human Rights Seminar in UN Headquarters in Geneva

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Geneva – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] As part of the events of UN Human Rights Council’s 38th round, a team of the southern transitional council held a human rights seminar in the UN Headquarters in Geneva about humanitarian situation in the south. The seminar discussing the southern people’s suffering due to deteriorated life conditions and being target of a supplies’ war that can be described as mass punishments, that is internationally banned and contradicts with all religious and ethical values.
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Musaily, representative of the council in Geneva, described life conditions of the south as “misery” indicating that citizens no longer believe in promises or slogans as they only believe in what they are provided with in reality and what they can feel of safety, security and stable life. He added that the southern people need to eat and drink, need electricity, health and educational services as employees are humiliated to be payed, sick people don’t find a place for treatment and students lost their education. Then, what else can be remaining for them? what would citizens expect when their life conditions become life-threatening?
He called for all international organizations to pay more attention to the humanitarian conditions in the south and to support people in their current crisis. He also called Mr. Martin Griffith, UN Envoy to Yemen, who visited Aden, to respond to the southern people who mobilized to let him hear their voices in expression of their rightful expectations to restore their free independent southern state.
Ambassador Ali Al-Bugairy, member of the team, explained mass efforts of the security belt, Hadhramaut Elites and Shavwa Elites troops in fighting terrorism and eliminating its existence with backup and support of UAE armed forces.
