This procedure came four days after the Supreme Courte Decree allowing the initiation of the presidential order while legal appeals against it are under investigation. Trump’s order, calling for increased scrutiny measures in US embassies and consulates, directs departments of foreign affairs and internal security to restrict entrance of citizens from six states including Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iran in addition to Venezuela and North Korea. Department of foreign affairs indicated that issued visas before the order were not canceled according to new measures and restrictions can be canceled according to coordination between US authorities and these countries authorities to guarantee the safety of American citizens.
