Professor Fairs said: “The Arab Southern People are struggling for freedom and diversity. They are fighting Al-Houthis, loyal to Iran, and Jihadists, with support of Saudi coalition. This deserves more attention from the west”. In another tweet, professor Faris said: “It is ironic that the most civil, liberal and democratic society in the the Arab peninsula is the south of Yemen. It is also ironic that it is the poorest. But threats of the reform militias loyal to Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Houthis, loyal to Iran, are no irony”. Professor Faris was one of the major advisors of president Trump’s presidential campaign for middle east affairs. He is president of the International University in Washington and considered as one of the most prominent strategic experts close to the US Republican Party.
