A new maritime accident off the coast of Hodeidah, and a missile explosion was detected

SMA NEWS – HODEIDAH
The British Maritime Trade Authority confirmed, a short while ago, that it had received a report of an accident 60 nautical miles from the port of Hodeidah, and a missile explosion 4 miles from the site.

The authority announced that it had received two reports of seeing drones before two explosions occurred near a ship west of the Yemeni port of Hodeidah, in the first incident.

It confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that the ship informed the “Guardian of Prosperity” coalition forces that its crew was fine, after the two explosions occurred, following an accident about 50 nautical miles west of Hodeidah port.

The Iranian-backed Houthi militia continues to target ships in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Red Sea, with piracy and bombing operations, to obstruct maritime navigation.
