[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Riyadh – Follow-ups – Waddah Ben Atia [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Member of the department of foreign affairs in the southern transitional council, Adel Al-Shabhy, indicated that the upcoming southern state will preserve social peace, human values and joint interests with brothers of the gulf and north countries. This came in response to a question asked by his highness prince Turkey Al-Faisal who asked about the form of the state to be restored in the south, is it Marxist, Sultanate or else? On his official account on face book, Al-Shabhy wrote:

I was honored today to by in King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies to attend a seminar headed by his highness prince Turkey Al-Faisal and introduced by Mr. Khaled Bahah, about Yemen before and during the war and future of the political process in Yemen. The seminar explained in detail the political, military and economic paths, with attendance of European ambassadors, representatives of Canada, Egypt and Yemeni government and other academics, journalists and political writers. Concerning the southern cause, Mr. Khaled Bahah asserted the importance of dealing positively with the southern transitional council and abolishing past marginalization of the southern cause as the southern people dreams for restoring his state. In a question posed by his highness prince Turkey Al-Faisal about the form of the that state to be restored in the south, is it Marxist, socialist, Sultanate or else? Dr. Hussain Lakour and I responded to the question asserting that it is a federal Arab southern state and that the upcoming southern state will preserve social peace, human values and joint interests with brothers of the gulf and north countries. I wondered about holding to UN Security Council decisions, including decision no. 2216 against Al-Houthi militias, while we still feeling shy to deal with the International Human Rights Declaration and related UN conventions that provide the southern people his right of self-determination.
