Al-Soqatri and Al-Jaber discuss projects to support the agricultural and fishery sectors

Salem Al-Soqatri, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, on Tuesday, discussed with the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to our country, Muhammad Saeed Al Jaber, General Supervisor of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, Saudi support for the agricultural and fisheries sector, and the implementation of targeted projects, According to the program plan.

He reviewed the Ministry’s work directions and enhancing food security in sustainable projects funded by the program within the framework of joint cooperation, stressing the need to support farmers with modern irrigation networks and rehabilitate water barriers and irrigation canals.

He stressed the importance of the project to support cash crops in coffee, honey, and onion products, through a project to improve access to markets, support fishermen, and strengthen the supervisory role in maintaining quality and production and developing fish exports.

Al-Soqatri appreciated the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at all economic levels, and the efforts of Ambassador Al Jaber through the projects presented by the Saudi Program for the Development of the Agriculture and Fish Sectors, and his interest in vital projects, especially those sustainable development projects whose effects are reflected positively in the food security of citizens.

For his part, Ambassador Al Jaber stressed that the Saudi program will continue to provide all aspects of support and implement vital projects in the agricultural and fisheries sectors in particular, and various projects in other sectors.
