Arab Parliament: The American veto is a miserable failure of the Security Council

On Saturday, the Arab Parliament issued a statement condemning the United States’ use of its veto against a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Arab Parliament considered this to be complicity and participation in the genocidal war committed by the Israeli occupation army against civilians, including children, women and the elderly, and a miserable and shameful failure of the UN Security Council.

According to the statement, the United States’ use of its veto against the resolution gives Israel the green light to continue its brutal aggression against Palestinian civilians without regard to international law.
