Asharq Al-Awsat renews its warning against spread of #Corona virus in #Houthi prisons
The newspaper “Asharq Al-Awsat” in its report on Saturday, renewed its warning of the current conditions in the prisons of the Houthi militia and the possibility of causing the outbreak of the Corona virus among the detainees.
The newspaper said in its report that the precarious situation of prisoners and detainees, makes them vulnerable to great risk in the event of an outbreak of the virus inside prisons and detention centers.
The newspaper pointed out that the Houthi militias are turning their backs on the repeated calls from many organizations for the release of thousands of kidnappers, due to the threat of the Corona virus.
The report stressed that the administrations of these prisons do not provide any preventive, precautionary or remedial measures in the face of epidemics, and all that they offer to sedative patients and there are no qualified medical personnel.
Asharq Al-Awsat noted to the lack of personal hygiene and public hygiene supplies in prisons and detention centers, as well as the lack of access to adequate clean drinking water for prisoners.
