Grundberg announces talks to reach a cease-fire

The UN special envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, on Tuesday, revealed his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jassem Al-Budaiwi.
In a press statement, Grundberg indicated holding discussions about expanding economic and humanitarian measures, and progress towards reaching a comprehensive ceasefire, and pushing for an inclusive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.
For his part, the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber, held talks with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, Hans Grundberg.
The two sides discussed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the political, economic, development and relief fronts to support the Presidential Leadership Council, in addition to efforts to alleviate the suffering of innocent people.
The meeting touched on ways to enhance and support the efforts of the United Nations to reach a comprehensive political solution to end the years-long crisis and support security, stability and development in the country.
