Hans Grundberg discusses the possibility of establishing the truce

The military team of the Yemeni government arrived in the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in the meeting of the military committee of representatives of the parties with the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, on the establishment of the truce.
The government team headed by Major General Samir al-Sabri held a meeting with specialists in the office of the UN envoy, according to the official news agency “Saba”. During the meeting, Al-Sabri stressed, “The continues government’s position to deal positively with the truce.”
He said: “The military actions carried out by the Houthis threaten the truce, and this meeting is supposed to put an end to such hostilities”.
It is noteworthy that in early June, the truce in Yemen was extended for two months, after the expiry of its original period, which began in early April.
