In a sorrowful Accident, Four Saudi Athletes of a Local Sports Club Killed and Six Others Injured
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Saudi Arabia – Follow-ups[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Four cyclists of Al-Yarmouk Sports Club – Abu Arish Directorate – Saudi Arabia, were killed on Tuesday afternoon in a run over accident on a sub-road while they were training. Red Crescent Squads and security forces headed to the accident spot immediately. Mohamed Daoud Dakam, general secretary of Al-Yarmouk Club, in an interview broadcasted on Al-Arabia.net, indicated that the sorrowful accident happened when ten cyclists of the team were training on a sub-road with low traffic density. But suddenly a car with a speed exceeding 160km/h. appeared and ran them all over leading to the killing of four cyclists and injuries for the remaining six. The driver tried to escape but he crashed on another car and was forced to stop. Yaseen Al Salem and Sabry Haddour, cyclists of senior team, and Mohamed Hazry and Yahia Ismail of the junior team were killed in the accident while six other cyclists were injured and transferred to hospital for treatment.
