International and local sources confirm fuel stocks at Houthi-controlled ports have fallen to their lowest levels

SMA NEWS – SANA’A
While an international organization revealed that some exporters have cancelled contracts to import food supplies to Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen, oil sector and UN sources confirmed that the storage capacity of Yemeni ports under the group’s control has fallen to its lowest levels due to Israeli warplanes destroying all fuel stores in the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Isa.
According to sources working in the oil sector, the Israeli strikes targeting fuel stores in Hodeidah port destroyed approximately 80 percent of the stores, and the same thing happened again at Ras Isa oil port.
According to the sources, the group is currently unloading fuel shipments directly onto tankers, which in turn transport them to the governorates or to the oil company’s warehouses on the outskirts of Sana’a.
Sources indicated that the latest fuel shipments imported by the Houthis have entered Ras Isa port or are docking in a nearby area for the purpose of unloading these quantities before the US decision to ban the import of petroleum products takes effect on April 2.
