Israeli Court Extends the Arrest of Ahd Al-Tamimy

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Palestine – Agencies [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] An Israeli military court extended the arrest of Agd Al-Tamimy, a 16-year old Palestinian girl, for at least two days on Monday. On December 15th, 2017, Al-Tamimy appeared in a video clip shared on social media, hitting two Israeli soldiers before she and her mother were arrested on December 19th. This extension came to give Ofar military court plenty of time to decide if Al-Tamimy will be bailed till her trial while the military prosecutor seeks to keep her under arrest. Al-Tamimy was charged by the military prosecutor on January 2018 with (12) charges. Gaby Lasky, her attorney indicated that keeping Al-Tamimy under arrest is violating international conventions as she is still a minor. Last Friday, EU expressed “deep concerns” about the destiny of Al-Tamimy.
