Over 500 killed as Israel strikes hospital in Gaza

SMA NEWS – GAZA
A devastating toll of more than 500 lives was reported in the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza this Tuesday, as confirmed by Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra.

Footage emerging from the scene portrayed a grim reality, with lifeless bodies strewn across the hospital grounds. The strike occurred while thousands of Palestinians sought refuge within the hospital, turning it into a tragic target of bombardment.

The Israeli army responded, asserting that reports of a potential airstrike on the hospital are currently “under review.” Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israeli army, admitted to a lack of complete information at present and assured that further details would be disclosed in due course, according to The Times of Israel.

Palestinian group Hamas condemned the incident, labeling Israel’s actions as “genocide.”

This airstrike unfolded on the 11th day of the ongoing conflict, prompting an escalating international outcry. Various non-governmental groups and global leaders are increasingly vocal in their condemnation, asserting that Israel’s bombing campaign on the besieged Gaza Strip, which includes targeting healthcare facilities, homes, and places of worship, violates international law and may constitute a war crime.
