President Al-Zubaidi Meets UK Ambassador to Yemen
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Abu Dhabi – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]P[/su_dropcap]resident Aidarous Kassem Al-Zubaidi of the southern transitional council met the UK ambassador to Yemen Mr. Michael Aron at the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi
The meeting discussed several unsettled issues and files including the political and security files in addition to the unfortunate events of Shabwa that put more complications to the situation in our country.
The meeting came as part of UK efforts to support Saudi Arabia and Arab Coalition efforts to create the dialogue called for by Saudi ministry of foreign affairs.
Al-Zubaidi asserted that any negotiations should include the southern transitional council as an independent party representing the southern cause and expectations to succeed as this will guarantee the southern their right in self-determination. He also asserted that the council is committed to supporting the Arab Coalition in fighting terrorism.
UK ambassador expressed his pleasure with the meeting and his appreciation of the council’s efforts and attitudes confirming that fact necessitate a serious and realistic treatment with the southern cause asserting that the southern has the right to determine their political future according to a mechanism agreed upon by all parties.
Mohamed Al-Ghaithi, deputy of Foreign Affairs department of the council, attended the meeting.
