Saudi Defense Minister Discusses Yemen Situation with Prime Minister

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman discussed developments in Yemen and the region and the efforts being made to address them with Yemeni Prime Minister Salem bin Saleh bin Braik.
During his meeting with Yemeni Prime Minister Salem bin Braik, who was recently appointed to succeed former President Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Defense Minister affirmed “Saudi Arabia’s continued support for the Yemeni government to achieve the economic and development aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people,” according to what he stated on his Twitter account.
Prince Khalid bin Salman added: “I met with Yemeni Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik. I conveyed to him the greetings and congratulations of the leadership – may God protect them – on his appointment as Prime Minister, and their wishes for success and prosperity for the brotherly Yemeni people.”
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council issued a decision appointing Finance Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik as the new head of the internationally recognized government, succeeding resigned Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak.
