Security source in Taiz confirms participation of al-Qaeda members in armed attack on artistic concert

A security source in Taiz governorate said that the armed attack on an artistic and tribute concert for the artist, Mohammed Mohsen Atroush, on Saturday, in the city of Taiz, included participation of members of the terrorist al-Qaeda organization in the attack.
The source, who preferred not to be named, added that these elements arrived at the headquarters of the Special Tasks Battalion of the Brotherhood in the center of Taiz, coming from the Turbah area.
The so-called Special Tasks Battalion, one of the most dangerous military arms of the Brotherhood in Taiz, carried out an armed attack on an artistic concert held at the Martyrs’ Stadium in Taiz that was crowded with women and children. The attack started the moment the artist Mohammed Mohsen Atroush was honored, in which the attackers used light and medium weapons, and the attack resulted in a number of wounded that some of them are in critical condition.
For his part, the Director General of the Culture Office in Taiz, Abdul Khaliq Saif, held the Muslim Brotherhood responsible for this attack, indicating in a post on Facebook that this attack came after incitement by the group that controls Taiz.
