The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Denounces the Attempt to Target the Iraqi Prime Minister

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, has denounced the attempt to target Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, expressing his confidence in the ability of the security services to protect the Iraqi state institutions and to confront any attempt aimed at destabilizing its security and stability.
Aboul Gheit said in a statement today: The turbulent situation in Iraq during the recent period, which escalated with this shameful attempt to assassinate Al-Kazemi confirms once again the need for the Iraqi state to deal decisively with uncontrolled weapons and outlaw groups.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League affirmed the League’s continued support for Iraq and its people, and its standing with it to cross this stage in peace and security, wishing Iraq and its people all the best security and stability.
