Group wedding for 200 of the sons of Socotra at Zayed Festival

The governorate of Socotra archipelago, on Friday, witnessed the conclusion of a number of activities of the sixth Sheikh Zayed Cultural Heritage Festival, which has been going on for two consecutive months, in coordination with the Culture Office in the governorate.
The festival included the fifth mass wedding of 200 grooms and brides, with the participation of the representative of the Emirates Red Crescent, Saeed Al Kaabi, and Governor Raafat Al Thaqali.
The mass wedding included the distribution of a lunch to the grooms, in the presence of local, security and military authority leaders, social figures and citizens.
Artistic paragraphs were presented in the festival by folk groups and recitation of poetic poems that expressed the popular joy for the collective marriage of the sons of the archipelago.
