New species of prehistoric crocodile named Swamp King identified by researchers

Researchers at the University of Queensland have identified a new species of prehistoric crocodile and they have named it Paludirex Vincenti. According to the researchers, the prehistoric crocodile measuring more than five metres long once ruled south-eastern Queensland waterways in Australia. This was only a few million years ago. The species is commonly called “swamp king”. The skull of the crocodile measures around 65 cm.
