Opening the Fifth Heritage and Arts Festival in Shabwa

Dr. Abdul Qawi Lamrouq, Deputy Governor of Shabwa, witnessed on Sunday, the opening of the activities of the Fifth Heritage and Arts Festival, under the patronage of Governor Awad Mohammed bin Al-Wazir, over a period of 3 days.
The festival comes under the slogan “Shabwa Heritage and Authentic Art Vibrant with Life”, to revive the heritage and popular heritage that the governorate abounds with.
It included a festive carnival at Lusail Stadium in the central park in the city of Ataq, in which the artistic teams affiliated with the Culture Office participated with a singing operetta in addition to artistic and folkloric paintings that embody the chants, Zamel and folk dances expressing the cultural heritage of the governorate, with the participation of 600 people representing the governorate’s directorates.
It included shows of purebred horses and camels, and shows of the governorate’s flowers adorned with traditional dress, which added beauty and splendor to the event and highlighted the richness of Shabwa’s cultural and civilizational heritage.
