For two years, the legitimacy dreams of holding a single meeting to its fake parliament in Aden. Millions were spent in vain and nothing came but failure.
On the other hand, the southern transitional council declared the establishment of its national assembly and held its first round successfully. After only three days of the council’s president request, the national assembly held its extraordinary round with attendance of all members from the whole eight southern governorates, including Socotra.
This quick success of the southern in assembling its organizations, while the legitimacy failed to assemble half of its parliament, is a clear indication that the council already has a true political and field powers in the south and, after only one and half years of its establishment, the council is more organized and more efficient in managing political acts and respond to events of reality in a wise awareness and stable flexible policies without abandoning basic southern principles. Away from emotions and rhetoric speeches, we say to those who are hunting the council that don’t expect from you nothing less. This is your right as long as it is considered as criticism.
To those who are concerned and careful for the council we say that things are going on according its planned path. Of course, there are massive challenges and numerous risks but the council’s leadership has a firm will and wise mentality to achieve the expectations of our people in restoring the federal southern state on full national soil according to May 23rd, 1990 borders.
