Delay of Southern Cause… Catastrophe in the Horizon
For almost three decades, the southern people sacrificed a lot and fought two wars. They lost the first war in 1994 and were oppressed because of that but they continued their peaceful struggle with bare chests carrying freedom and dignity. They faced live bullets and lost thousands of martyrs and injured. But that didn’t make them abandon their pursuit of freedom through peaceful struggle as they believe in their rightful cause. In March 2015, the second war came. Again, the southern people carried their weapons to defend their lands and themselves. When all powers conspired with Yemen against the south, the whole south, especially Aden, became target of filthy war. This imposed direct threats against the Arab national security represented in the most significant navigation path through Bab Al-Mandeb. This obliged the Arab Coalition, headed by Saudi Arabia and UAE, to interfere to restore security and stability of the region in addition to maintaining their national security and interests of the whole world. The southern people helped in achieving victory and liberated the whole south from Al-Houthis and Saleh troops while not a single Yemeni governorate was completely liberated.
Undoubtedly, the southern people no longer accept a union that imposed by force. This led the conditions to be even worse in the south after three years of liberation. Chaos, terrorism and poor services are all tools to force the south to accept half solutions in a national cause that can never be compromised.
Delay of solution of the southern cause is an indicator for upcoming catastrophe that may stem from demographic changes that purposefully reside Yemenis in the south to control its fate. This includes deployment of Yemeni military and security units, the same reason we fought for and defeated similar troops.
It is important to remind all parties that preserving their interests is only possible through achieving the southern people’s expectations according to UN convention, internal laws and the two international human rights declarations that all parties are committed to. This will quicken the solution while delay will slow down the solution of Yemeni conflict that both parties benefit from. The is the shortest and least expensive way. Without it, we are all at risk of even more intense conflicts. This will affect the peace, security and stability of the region and the whole world. We are sick of war and we seek a permanent solution for our cause through peace and negotiation, as we are very interest in distinguished relations with Yemen to guarantee mutual interests and cooperation. This will facilitate transportation between the two states and provide both peoples with work opportunities.
